IPMC has presented a GH¢ 10,000 cheque as donation to the Black Satellites of Ghana for winning the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
A short ceremony was held at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium press center to officially announce the presentation. Present at the ceremony were Mr. Worlanyo Agrah, CEO of the National Sports Council, Helen Annan - Office of the President, Mr Kojo Bonsu - a Businessman and Francis Dodoo, Chairman of the Ghana Athletics Association (GAA)., all members of the committee responsible for Black Satellites donations.
Chairman of the committee and also head of the National Hockey Association, Oko Niikoi Djanie mentioned that IPMC has been of tremendous support to the sports industry especially in Hockey. “We are very grateful to IPMC for the support all these years and we say thank you” he said.
Amar D. S. Hari, CEO of IPMC, said the achievement of the team is worth celebrating hence the company’s decision to throw in its support. “Playing a strong country like Brazil in a final match with 10 men and still become the world champions, is a great achievement to be recommended and rewarded” he said.
